It is a great honor and pleasure to invite you to the XIV INTERNATIONAL SMALL BOWEL TRANSPLANT SYMPOSIUM - ISBTS 2015 that will be held on June 10-13, 2015 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Our mission is to organize an unforgettable, state-of-the-art Symposium that will surpass your expectations. We set this goal for several reasons. First, this is the only ISBTS that is not being held either in Europe or North America. Second, this is the first time three scientific organizations, the Transplantation Society (TTS), the Intestinal Transplant Association (ITA), and the Argentinean Society of Transplantation (SAT), will be working together.

The title of the XIVth ISBTS is "A Comprehensive Meeting on Intestinal Failure, Rehabilitation, and Transplantation". The aim is to educate participants on the latest advances in all aspects of intestinal care including nutritional support, gut rehabilitation, as well as intestinal transplantation by bringing together the world's experts in these fields and providing a platform for the presentation of scientific research.

The Scientific Committee is working to develop a comprehensive program that will include workshops, debates, and keynote lectures. These lectures will fit seamlessly into a meeting format that will allow for free papers, video presentations, poster presentations, and discussion. We also plan to have the latest data from the Intestinal Transplant Registry presented. New to this meeting will be a living legends session, interactive sessions, multicenter study reports, and ITA business reports.

The XIVth ISBTS will be preceded by a one day Pre-Meeting Symposium. The aim of this Pre-Meeting Symposium is to once again provide a primer on all aspects of intestinal care including enteral and parenteral nutrition, intestinal failure management, medical and surgical therapies for intestinal rehabilitation, as well as intestinal transplantation techniques.

The Commercial Exhibition will be an excellent opportunity for the pharmaceutical industry to be showcased in South America. Exhibitors will have an active participation in the large exhibition area, where they will be in direct contact with delegates to show the latest technology.

The meeting venue, the Universidad Católica Auditoriums is located in the youngest and most modern neighborhood of Buenos Aires. From there you will be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful and dynamic cities in Latin America, that features stunning architecture and a vibrant cultural life. There will be ample opportunity for touring/sight-seeing, shopping, and other outings designed to showcase the feel of this vibrant, Latin American city. Participants are encouraged to take time to wander through Buenos Aires' many historical landmarks, enjoy the grace of Tango and experience the passion of soccer. From Buenos Aires, you may travel and enjoy the rest of Argentina, which beholds extraordinarily beautiful nature.

A full social program that will include an Opening Ceremony and Reception, and a Tango Gala Dinner, among other events will make your evenings unforgettable.

The target audience is any healthcare provider who either actively practices in or has an interest in the broad field of intestinal care. This includes but is not limited to students, trainees, researchers, physicians, surgeons, dieticians, pharmacists, social work, transplant coordinators, and administrators. We understand the importance of your participation and commitment; we need you to be able to succeed.
